Experience German language and culture in Belgium|Seven days of German culture and language in the spotlight across Belgium
As part of the fourth nationwide Woche für Deutsch(Week for German) in Belgium, taking place from 6 to 12 October 2025, the Goethe-Institut Brussels invites you to a diverse series of events showcasing the richness of the German language and culture.
The film series Klick at Cinematek Brussels is dedicated to the work of German director Roland Klick, highlighting the interplay of language and image in cinematic art.
A special highlight is the Deutschlehrkräftetag (German Teachers’ Day), offering educators from across Belgium the opportunity to network, gain new inspiration for their teaching, and discuss current developments in the field of German as a foreign language.
Cabaret also plays a central role: a cabaret evening at the institute brings linguistic wit and social observation to the stage – humorous, critical and entertaining.
These events are open to everyone interested in German language and culture, whether you are a learner, teacher, cultural professional or simply curious about the German language and culture. We look forward to welcoming you! The fourth Week of German / Week van het Duits / Semaine de l'allemand will begin across Belgium on October 6. Until October 12, 2025, the German Embassy in Brussels, together with its partners, the Belgian Association of Germanists and German Teachers (BGDV), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Goethe-Institut Belgium, the Deutschcafé Antwerpen, the Kulturforum Antwerpen, the German National Tourist Board (DZT), the German-speaking Community, Belgian Radio (BRF), and the embassies of Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Austria, and Switzerland, will be organizing a colorful kaleidoscope of activities, events, and programs related to the German language, allowing participants to discover its diversity in a relaxed manner.
