PLOT

In Kiel, Luzi and Dietmar meet on a quay and fall in love. Together, the fifty-year-old secretary and the young, unemployed bisexual try their hand at a middle-class couple’s life. As a social satire that skilfully exploits the extravagant personalities of its amateur couple, “Die Bettwurst” is now regarded as a cult film, best known for having introduced camp style to German cinema.
