Retrospective Rosa von Praunheim
Film retrospective|A pioneer of queer cinema in Germany
In collaboration with the Belgian Cinematek, the Goethe-Institut Brussels has curated a retrospective featuring around twenty films from all phases of his career. It focuses in particular on humor as a subversive strategy of queer resistance. Together with contemporary queer intellectual voices, such as camerawoman and icon of queer-feminist cinema Elfi Mikesch, we will unpack the provocations, ambivalences, and groundbreaking relevance of his work.
