PLOT

In 1980s Berlin, a group of American performers live and work at the Hamburger Königin, a diner that also serves as a boarding house. In this camp musical, Praunheim lets his stars recount their own experiences with trans identity and queer love. A cult film that notably influenced John Cameron Mitchell’s Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
