Goethe-Institut London and Somerset House Studios have established a new international artist residency programme to support a Germany-based artist working at the intersection of music, art and technology.

2023 Residency
 Christine Sun Kim

We are currently joined by Christine Sun Kim, whose practice considers how sound operates in society, deconstructing the politics of sound and exploring how oral languages operate as social currency. Musical notation, written language, infographics, American Sign Language (ASL), the use of the body, and strategically deployed humor are all recurring elements in her practice.

2020 Residency
 Juliana Huxtable

For the inaugural edition, we welcomed artist, DJ, writer, and performer Juliana Huxtable. While we worked remotely with Juliana due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we welcomed her in London for two months from October 2021.
