Teachers will find resources for teaching German at level A1 for primary school children in the Felix and Franzi German Club. Felix the Frog and Franzi the Duck introduce primary school children to their first German words and sounds through songs, videos, games and craft activities.

Our Felix und Franzi video lesson packages combine 10 short, videoed lessons, detailed lesson plans and worksheets to help children discover German language and culture. Led by Felix and Franzi, children sing, listen, repeat and join in, learning their first German words and sentences through fun, confidence‑building activities.

Theme I: Introductions

In this first club session, the children will be introduced to the Felix and Franzi characters, who will help to teach them some basic German greetings in the form of a song. The children will also learn about where German is spoken around the world.
