Language World 2021
Language World is the annual conference and training event of the Association for Language Learning (ALL). It is a highlight of the year for languages education and attracts hundreds of participants each day from across all sectors of education including primary and secondary schools as well as universities.
To protect the health of everyone, ALL has made the decision to move to a virtual, completely online conference in 2021. You can expect a fantastic professionally-run digital platform with workshops being a combination of live and pre-recorded presentations. Attendees can ask questions at Q&A sessions and give offline feedback. Networking points and live polling platforms will be offered.

Developing linguistic and vocational skills and promoting cultural awareness through a virtual work experience programme - Domini Stone & Lorna Price
With it becoming increasingly difficult for school trips abroad, this presentation will look at the positive ways in which virtual work experience can enhance young people’s lives, providing them with a rich cultural and linguistic experience whilst giving them vocational skills for life. The presentation will be based on the virtual work experience programme offered by the Goethe-Institut London to a group of Sixth Formers during October 2020 but is applicable to all languages.

Interactive Grammar Teaching - Dominique Böert
Action-oriented grammar teaching, integrated in a communicative context and based on students’ needs, can have a motivating effect on our students and is not necessarily the "boring" part of the lesson. This workshop, applicable to all languages, will present ideas that combine grammar learning with movement, games and different forms of perception providing our learners with input that is not too extensive and with the motivation to deal with it.
