Have you ever wondered why certain German-language cartoons, jokes and films have Germans in stitches? Join us to explore the various facets of German humour, its regional and intercultural components in literature, film and the news. Together, we will explore the ‘language of humour’ and meet some comedy icons along the way who will certainly put a smile on your face (or have you in stitches)!
'Deutsche Runde' is an informal gathering and exchange around a chosen topic of German language or culture. It is ideal for learners with some knowledge of German (B1 and higher). We meet once a month on a Thursday afternoon.
