Things seem to be going well for Xhafer. An immigrant from Kosovo, he has a good job as a pharmaceutical engineer in a small company and lives in a nice house with his wife and children. His integration seems to have been successful. But then he finds a dead rat on his door step and at work he doesn't get important emails or room changes are not communicated to him. Xhafer feels increasingly bullied and discriminated against, but neither his wife nor his boss take these incidents seriously. In the long, dark corridors of his work place, his tension, paranoia, and smouldering anger mount. But did everything really conspire against him?

In his skilfully constructed second feature film, Visar Morina paints a psychologically dense and suspenseful portrait of a man whose identity has been shaken, and whose sense of exclusion in turn leads to an increasingly narrow perception. Not only does the boundary between subjective perception and objective reality become blurred, but also between victim and perpetrator, between daily racism and dislike as response to Xhafer’s behaviour. He is not an easy person to like, as we also see him act selfishly and callously. Accordingly, actor Mišel Matičević does not ask for sympathy in the role of Xhafer, but embodies his character at times petrified, at other times full of suppressed aggression, only relaxed when playing with his children.
