Have you ever heard of Heligoland –  no? Join us on a whistle-stop tour of the turbulent history of this North Sea island, find out more about its unique language and culinary traditions. Discover how its residents tackle contemporary challenges such as climate change and population decline. All without having to cross the stormy North Sea - quite comfortably in our friendly little group. Of course, there will be a quiz at the end to test your knowledge!

'Deutsche Runde' is an informal gathering and exchange around a chosen topic of German language or culture. It is ideal for learners with some knowledge of German (B1 and higher). We meet once a month on a Thursday afternoon.

Participation is free of charge. You can register via Eventbrite, but it is not essential to do so.
