'Deutsche Runde'
Mythical German forests

Goethe-Institut Glasgow

Did you know that roughly a third of Germany is covered by forest?

In our first 'Deutsche Runde' session in the new term we want to explore the diverse roles of forests – for the economy, as a complex ecosystem and much-loved leisure destination and, last but not least, as a place of myths and legends. Allow yourself to be whisked away by Grimm‘s Fairy Tales to the forests lining the German Fairy Tale Route, meet ‘tree whisperer’ Peter Wohlleben and relax with the sounds of the forest.

From a language point of view, our topic has much to offer as well! We hope that you can join us and look forward to an active exchange of ideas!

'Deutsche Runde' is an informal gathering and exchange around a chosen topic of German language or culture. It is ideal for learners with some knowledge of German (B1 and higher). We meet once a month on a Thursday afternoon.

Participation is free of charge. You can register via Eventbrite, but it is not essential to do so.
