In November, the Goethe-Institut Glasgow invites you to discover the many facets of Hannah Arendt, one of Germany’s most eminent thinkers. Her work as a political theorist, especially on the topics of power, freedom, responsibility, and judgment, remains of remarkable relevance today.

She also shared a special relationship with Scotland, where she lived and worked for two semesters at the University of Aberdeen in 1972 and 1973, shortly before her death on 4 December 1975. During this time, she was invited as the first women to deliver a Gifford Lecture in 1973.

Join us in a (re)discovery of her life and work in an online dossier and event series online and in person at 3 Park Circus!
