Join us for an artist talk with Carolin Seeliger (DE) and Eleonora Strano (FR), who arrive in Glasgow following a low‑carbon journey by land and sea across Scotland as part of the Earth Month 2026.
Both artists' slow travel is both an artistic and ecological commitment, foregrounding duration, attentiveness, and ecological responsibility in a time of climate urgency. Their arrival in Glasgow marks not an endpoint, but a continuation of a process shaped by landscapes crossed, communities encountered, and alternative experiences of time.
As a way to reflect at the end of the residency, the artists are warmly invited to take part in an informal public artist talk. The conversation will address slow travel as artistic practice, institutional responsibilities in times of climate crisis, and the role of cultural work in imagining more sustainable futures.
Situated within Earth Month 2026, the project connects local perspectives in Glasgow with wider ecological questions. It asks how we move through the world, what we carry with us, and how artistic practice can model alternative ways of relating to land, time, and one another.
