As part of the Samizdat Eastern European Film Festival, Klassiki and Samizdat partnered for a panel discussion about the impact of the Ukraine war on filmmaking and film production in Ukraine. The discussion was chaired by Samizdat curator Natalia Guzevataya with Ukrainian film specialists Olga Bryukhovetska, Vitaly Chernetsky and Darya Tsimbalyuk. The discussion covers the state of the Ukrainian film industry now, how filmmakers and critics are coping with and framing the invasion of Ukraine in their work and will be of interest to any EUNIC for Ukraine – European film festival viewers who want to discover more about the rich history of and vibrant contemporary filmmaking community in Ukraine.
