The Goethe-Institut trains university lecturers at the partner university to become DLL trainers and supports them in using DLL in their degree programs. Upon completion of the training, the lecturers are able to independently conduct the DLL programme with students specializing in German as a Foreign Language.
The university integrates a specific number of DLL units into the curriculum of an existing or new course, for example, in the subject "Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching." Minimum standards for course descriptions and performance specifications are agreed upon with the Goethe-Institut for joint certification.
The partner university and the Goethe-Institut issue a dual DLL certificate to students upon successful completion of the DLL course. This requires that at least 50% of the tasks in the respective DLL module have been successfully completed and that a practical exploration project (PEP) has been planned, implemented, and documented.
The university then uses a specific number of DLL units in the curriculum of an existing or new course, for example, in the course "Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching." The partner university receives a one-time set of the required DLL units from the Goethe-Institut.
