Beethoven 2020 © Royal Irish Academy of Music

In partnership with the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) and as a part of MusicTown 2020, the Goethe-Institut Irland is proud to present three concerts over three days in our Georgian Headquarters at 37 Merrion Square.

In 2020, the musical world celebrates the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great composers Ludwig van Beethoven. Joining the musical celebration, the RIAM Keyboard Faculty will present the complete cycle of his 32 Piano Sonatas throughout this landmark year in music with audiences invited to join staff and students on this musical pilgrimage. Within this framework, a three-concert presentation of a selection of these sonatas will take place at the Goethe-Institut.
