Founded in 1972, the German American Partnership Program (GAPP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit attached to the Goethe-Institut USA that supports school-to-school exchanges between the U.S. and Germany. With a network of over 750 U.S. schools and more than 400,000 alumni, GAPP is the largest bilateral exchange program between the U.S. and any other country. We connect students, educators, families, and communities—helping young peoplestep into adulthood by building lifelong friendships and global ties.

This webinar is designed for educators who are either looking to establish a GAPP exchange at their school or are stepping into the role of exchange coordinator for an existing partnership.

We will cover:

* Overview of GAPP: What it is and how it works * Step-by-step guidance for planning and implementing a successful exchange

* Scholarships, grants, and insurance to support your program

* Best practices for preparation and execution — before, during, and after the exchange

* Approaches for engaging key stakeholders, including students, parents, school administrators, and host families

* Professional development opportunities offered by the Goethe-Institut USA

* Introduction to GAVE (German American Virtual Exchange)

By the end of the session, participants will gain practical tools, insights, and resources to confidently initiate or strengthen a GAPP exchange at their school.
