Oh, This Unspeakable Void

Oh, This Unspeakable Void

At the age of 20, Joachim is unexpectedly awarded a place at the prestigious Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts and moves into his grandparents’ villa in a high-class district of Munich. He tries to find his place in the world between the bizarre challenges of drama school and the eccentric, mostly alcohol-fuelled rituals of his grandparents without knowing what role he might actually play in it.
Simon Verhoeven’s insanely funny and deeply moving story about how difficult it is to face up to one‘s big emotions is based on Joachim Meyerhoff’s eponymous autobiographical bestselling novel.
