Professional training courses for Goethe-Institut examiners

Goethe-Institut examinations are conducted exclusively by Goethe-Institut certified examiners whose qualification consists of both training courses and an online certification process on a regular basis.

The training courses introduce the examiners to the exam’s content and format to prepare them for the certification. To participate in the certification process, examiners need to complete this training. They are offered in an online format consisting of two webinars (2h each) and a two-week tutored online phase (workload of of up to 6h/week).

The Goethe-Institut examiner certification process – performed online - assesses the examiner’s testing proficiency in comparison with all Goethe-Institut examiners worldwide. It must be renewed every three years per examiner/exam. Register exclusively via the Goethe-Institut branch office responsible for the examination center. A successful completion of a training in the same year is a mandatory prerequisite for participation in the certification process.

Registration deadline for each training is 2 weeks before that training starts. Resgitration deadline for trainings in August is August 6th.
