Students at Stuyvesant High School, a NYC PASCH school, will have the unique opportunity to meet Roman Weidenfeller, former Borussia Dortmund and German National Team goalkeeper, during a special visit hosted by the Goethe-Institut and BVB.

In this interactive session, students from the school’s German program will lead a bilingual Q&A, exploring Roman’s experiences as a professional athlete, his perspective on teamwork and perseverance, and how language and culture connect people across borders.

The event will take place primarily in German, with support from student moderators to ensure that all participants can follow and engage in the discussion. Through this exchange, students will experience firsthand how sports can serve as a bridge between cultures and how German can open doors to global opportunities.
