The Fifth Science Film Festival 2009

In 2009, the Science Film Festival exceeded all expectations with a total of 112,568 visitors. A selection of 45 films from 13 countries was screened in Bangkok at the Children’s Discovery Museum, the National Science Museum, the NSTDA Thailand Science Park, the Science Centre for Education, and the Thailand Knowledge Park during the two weeks of the event. Furthermore, the festival programme was concurrently presented in 29 universities and schools nationwide.




The audience figures for 2009 maintains the Science Film Festival as the most visited event of its kind in the world and the festival serves as a significant cultural initiative for the diffusion and development of science film and television in Southeast Asia, addressed through several complimenting activities with students and regional media
