Litprom – Promoting Global Stories
Since 1984, Litprom has been a contact point for the promotion of translations for fictional works from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Arabic World, Israel, and Turkey to the German-speaking market. This initiative was and is supposed to empower the literary exchange and the publication of important works from contemporary authors from above mentioned regions. Since 2026, the programme has been jointly supported by Frankfurter Buchmesse and the Goethe-Institut under its new name, Litprom – Promoting Global Stories. The Goethe-Institut contributes its expertise from a global network as well as financial resources.
