Business consultant Ines is under pressure to perform well on a project in Bucharest; not a good time for her prank-loving father to visit. Sensing he is not welcome, he leaves though only to return as the mysterious Toni Erdmann. A highly unusual take on the relationship between children and their parents, both sad and hilarious as well as totally unpredictable.
