When Nora and Aron meet on the underground and fall in love, was it by chance of was it always meant to happen?

As physicist Aron believes in relativity and in the theory that the future is as relevant to the present as the past. And his and Nora story seems to prove this claim, at least as director Mariko Minoguchi tells it, skillfully intertwining it with another narrative, that of Nathan who tries to save the life of his daughter.

But Minoguchi’s award winning debut feature is not just a thought experiment, a clever play with symmetries and palindromes, it is also a moving reflection on love, loss, grief and redemption delivered by the film’s powerful cast of young actors.

The film will also be screened on Tuesday, 27 October.
