In the International Online Book Club of the Goethe-Institut #MeetTheAuthor, literature enthusiasts from all over Europe come together to discover German-language literature and share their reading experiences. What makes it special: The authors are present live, reading from their books and engaging in discussions with you. Each month, we present exciting German-language books from recent years – ranging from surprising debuts and bestsellers to narrative non-fiction.

The book discussions and readings take place in German. Participation is free and open to everyone – regardless of whether you have read the book or not. We offer reading samples and design the readings in a way that allows everyone to join the discussion.
