ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

LAMBERT
Lambert is a singular talent whose bold vision and compositional flair is informed as much by pop music and wider culture as it is by any classical repertoire. From 2017’s stunning Sweet Apocalypse, a masterful collection of orchestral works concerned with locating moments of beauty amid the dystopian future humanity is fast racing towards, to the haunting, delicate Alone EP, Lambert has created his own, spellbinding sonic language that stirs the soul and inspires the mind. By turns hypnotic, sombre, and enchanting, he excels at creating moods and mesmerising the listener; a deep sense of drama often gives way to an enigmatic playfulness, colourful melodies skipping lightly through his songs.

Lambert's playing is internationally known and in demand. Renowned artists such as José González, Deichkind and Moderat have asked for reworks of their tracks and received unique new interpretations. In these five years, Lambert released four solo albums and toured halfway across the continent. After releasing two albums in 2018, one in collaboration with electronics producer Stimming and one with Chicago folk singer Brookln Dekker, in May 2018 Lambert reduced his focus again: alone and disguised at the piano.

SARA MILLER
Sara Miller is an Irish born DJ, producer and sound engineer based in Berlin.

Her party series Naive Melodies began in the beloved Kreuzberg basement club Kleine Reise in 2012, before upping USB sticks and moving to Loftus Hall along with special events in locations such as STATTBAD Berlin. Previous guests for these events include John Talabot, Lena Willikens, Giegling’s Vril and Ateq, and many more local Berlin and international pals.
Through years as a product of both her own parties as well as her regular appearances at Berlin's legendary Salon zur Wilden Renate, Sara honed her craft for extended mixes with genre-bending DJ sets often spanning up to 6 hours at a time.

Now she is working as a qualified audio engineer and working on productions in her studio. Over the past years, she has continued to play at many of Berlin's most respected clubs including :://About Blank, ELSE and Paloma as well as neighbouring Leipzig’s Institut fuer Zukunft alongside regular appearances in the clubs of her hometown Dublin.
One of her last gigs before the pandemic was at Dublin’s District 8 where she opened for acts like Mano le Tough, John Talabot and Avalon Emerson. Like many, 2020 saw her move from the club to the Livestream with a notable appearance at Berlin’s HÖR among others. Her debut track Orange Sea was released in mid-2021 on the Munich label Permanent Vacation, which has had great support from the likes of Roman Flügel and Jennifer Cardini. Her Radio on Vacation mix for Permanent Vacation was selected by Groove Magazine as one of the mixes of the month in February 2021. Sara is currently working on producing her first EP and remixes while gearing up for the long-awaited return to indoor clubbing.

NAVA
Nava is a Dublin-based quartet exploring the musical cultures of Ireland and Persia. It is comprised of banjoist Paddy Kiernan, guitarist/bassist Niall Hughes, and Iranian born brothers Shahab and Shayan Coohe, on santoor, and tombak/tar/clarinet respectively.

After a 2018 which featured performances at Celtic Connections, The Masters of Tradition Festival, Doolin Folk Festival and WOMEX Gran Canaria among others, Nava spent early 2019 experimenting, writing and arranging a host of new material, resulting in their eagerly awaited follow up to 2017‘s “Tapestry”, entitled “Sojourns: Volume 1”.
Recorded with Adrian Hart (I Draw Slow) and produced by Tony Byrne (Julie Fowlis, Danu) “Sojourns: Volume 1“ is the first in a two part release that expands on the sonic territory covered in Tapestry, charting the continuing development of this unique ensemble.
Divided into two long-form pieces, it sees the quartet explore the relationship between lengthier Persian Classical forms and Irish sets of tunes, while incorporating influences from contemporary classical music, Iranian folk music, and condensing this into a host of new compositions.

Described by Martin Hayes of The Gloaming as “...a delicate and beautiful integration of tones and textures...bring[ing] their Persian influenced Irish music to the next level...”, “Sojourns: Volume 1“ reinforces Nava’s position as one of the most forward-thinking groups in contemporary folk music today. Nava will be Launching their third album "Toranj" with a new musical direction in the coming months.
