Pünktchen und Anton

We will have showings of kids' movies at the Goethe-Institut Irland up to three times per term. The recommended age groups for the movies will alternate from 0-6 and 6-12 years. The showings will take place on Saturdays after the Kids' Courses, between 1 and 3 pm.

In February, we will be screening the 1999 adaptation of the classic children's book Pünktchen und Anton, directed by Uwe Janson. Starring Elea Geissler, Max Felder, Juliane Köhler und August Zirnerin.

A modern film version of the book by Erich Kästner: Pünktchen and Anton, both ten years old, are best friends. But while the surgeon's daughter Pünktchen leads a carefree life, Anton has to worry about his sick, single mother and take over her job in the ice cream parlur - no wonder that school gets neglected. But Pünktchen has already hatched a plan to help her friend.
