The Goethe-Institut's new Slow Touring project combines sustainability with fresh soul and pop music from Berlin. This autumn, musician, model and dancer LIE NING will be travelling across Europe by train and ferry, as part of a resource-efficient concert tour developed by the Goethe-Institut Irland. As a part of this tour, LIE NING will play a concert at the Earth Rising Festival in Dublin.

LIE NING, Berlin-based musician, model, dancer and art director is looking at an impressive career so far, with appearances at SXSW, Fusion, Reeperbahn Festival and support slots for Raphael Saadique, Milky Chance and more. Their sound seamlessly navigates indie, soul and R’n’B, delivering timeless pop moments

During their tour stop in Dublin, LIE NING will have time to engage with local communities and collaborate with international artists, bringing a sense of European solidarity and shared cultural identity to Earth Rising.

Singer, songwriter and producer shiv will also be performing at the Earth Rising Festival alongside LIE NING. She has a distinctive sound informed by her diverse musical upbringing, blending alternative R&B and low-fi hip-hop elements with soulful elements.

Her impressive resume includes supporting Lana Del Rey, contributing to the soundtrack for the Amazon Prime original movie Your Chrstmas or Mine 2 and performing at prestigious Irish festivals such as Electric Picnic, Forbidden Fruit and soul festival Cross The Tracks. With her heartfelt lyrics, soulful vocals and dedication to her craft, shiv is poised to make a significant impact on the music scene with her upcoming debut album.

At this year's Earth Rising, the exhibition of Simone Kessler's work is also supported by the Goethe-Institut Irland. You can find further information on the event here.
