On 27 May at 6 p.m. Lisbon time (7 p.m. CET) there will be another online workshop in the Art Meets Tech series about voice and creative uses.

Participation without registration The history of voice technologies such as the vocoder and autotune shows that what is creatively interesting often lies in their “exploitation”. However, the current wave of AI-powered voice technologies is based on exploitable voice work by artists, calling us to rethink the concept of “creative exploitation.” It expands to a broader ecosystem of voices and datasets.

This workshop introduces the new open, hackable and playful voice synthesis tool Tungnaá and discusses the cultural, economic and ethical importance of “creative exploitation” in music based on “vocal data”.
