Project Manager Information
The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi is seeking a dedicated and motivated Project Manager Information to start on 11 May 2026 (initially for a limited period of one year with the option of extension) with an employment scope of 100 per cent (40 hours/week). Remuneration will be according to the local remuneration scheme of the Goethe-Institut in India.
The Goethe-Institut e.V. is an intermediary organisation of the Federal Republic of Germany whose aims are to promote knowledge of the German language abroad, to foster international cultural cooperation and to convey a comprehensive image of Germany by providing information on cultural, social and political life.
- Conceptualisation and implementation of projects with a focus on media and digital themes, like virtual reality, gaming, digital civil society, media literacy
- Coordination of literature projects, cooperation with institutions and festivals
- Event management, including travel planning for invited guests, coordination of service providers
- Continuous expansion of the partner network in the fields of information and literature in Germany and India
- Point of contact for invited artists and speakers during their visit to India, providing support throughout their stay.
- Support the communications team to manage the project website, imagery, branding, videos and online content, ensuring it is aligned with the project objectives
- Budget management
You have the following qualifications:
- University degree in media studies, cultural studies, literature, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in project management, ideally in the cultural, media, or digital innovation sector
- Experience in managing literature-related projects and collaborating with cultural institutions or festivals
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including partner organisations, service providers, and speakers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of intercultural competence
- Budget planning and financial management experience
- Strong network or ability to develop networks in the fields of media, literature, and digital culture, ideally in both Germany and India
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a plus but not mandatory
