German Youth Camp Ruhpolding

  • Meet teenagers from all over the world
  • Day trip included
  • Cultural and leisure programme
  • 56 lessons over 2 weeks

Welcome to Ruhpolding – a beautiful place in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps! Surrounded by majestic mountains, clear lakes and green forests, Ruhpolding is a paradise for nature lovers. Here, Bavarian tradition, warm hospitality and a wide range of leisure activities come together. If you’re up for adventure in the Alps, this is the perfect place.

Learn German in the Bavarian Pre-Alps

Our language camp takes place at Labenbachhof – a modern seminar and guest house set in nature. The farm lies beautifully at the foot of the Rauschberg. Summer camp participants can enjoy bright seminar rooms, cosy common areas, and a spacious outdoor area with sports and games.
Participants can relax in comfortable 2-, 3- or 4-bed rooms.

Meals are well taken care of: the rustic 18th-century farmhouse offers fresh, regional dishes. Vegetarian options and meals without pork are of course available. Three meals a day, plus snacks and drinks, ensure no one goes hungry.

On teaching days, German lessons take place in two to three blocks, focusing on the core skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The hands-on, communicative approach promotes active, practical learning. Our teachers create a motivating environment with language games and creative projects.

After lessons, the adventure begins. The surrounding mountains can be explored, and for fun and activity there are varied options such as table tennis, football, volleyball and movie nights. To end the day, there is nothing better than a campfire with music and stick bread.

From Peaks to Lakes – Pure Adventure

Ruhpolding is more than just a course location – it’s an experience. Here, participants learn German while discovering the beauty of the Alps. The day begins with a varied breakfast, which can also be enjoyed in front of the old farmhouse with a view of the Alps. Whether hiking, swimming in the wave pool, or taking a trip to Lake Chiemsee, each day brings new impressions and unforgettable moments.

A day trip takes the group to Lake Chiemsee – the “Bavarian Sea”. By boat, they visit Herrenchiemsee Island, where the impressive palace of King Ludwig II awaits. The magnificent rooms, the Hall of Mirrors, and the expansive gardens bring history to life and offer space for wonder and conversation.

After the cultural highlight, there is time to relax by the lakeshore – with views of the sparkling water and surrounding mountains. A stop in a Bavarian Pre-Alpine town for shopping and exploration rounds off the day.
