A Project for Professional Orientation

Enterprise German promotes the collaboration between schools, universitires, and German companies or Irish companies with a relationship to German speaking countries within the region. The project combines aspects of professional orientation with creativity and inventor spirit.

Learning German opens up opportunities far beyond the classroom

Through your participation, you give your students the chance to get to know German as a business language and, over the course of a pre-structured teaching unit, to visit a German partner company in Ireland.

Your learners will also take part in the accompanying competition of business ideas, for which they work in groups to develop an innovative business idea for their partner company. They are going to present their products and services in a multimedia format of their choice and send it in for the competition – and all that in German, of course.

At the end of the project phase, a jury will decide which results are especially well-made and which team is going to win the first prize. Schools and universities compete in separate categories, so two winning teams will be celebrating at the end.

And it’s worth it! The teams not only have the chance to win prize money, but also to make valuable contacts and independently present a product idea. Participation in the Unternehmen Deutsch project opens up career paths and is an excellent addition to any resume.

Registration for the next round starts from 1 October 2025 – we look forward to your taking part!

The teaching materials at B1 level are divided into three modules. The materials serve as a basis for the participation in the idea contest, but can also be used without taking part in the competition.
