The Goethe-Institut in India is seeking a dedicated and motivated Project Manager for Articial Intelligence Applications, starting on 01 April 2026 or later.
The position is full-time (40 hours/week). Remuneration is based on the local remuneration scheme of the Goethe-Institutes in India. The position is limited to one year with the option of extension for another year.
The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide. We promote the study of German abroad and encourage international cultural exchange.
As Project Manager for Artificial Intelligence Applications, your tasks include:
- Advising and supporting the Goethe-Institutes in South Asia in identifying and evaluating potential use cases for AI applications across all areas of work
- Coordinating pilot projects and proofs of concept with Goethe-Institutes in South Asia, regional partners, and the Goethe-Institut headquarters in Germany
- Monitoring AI trends, regulatory developments, and ethical standards for AI applications in South Asia
- Building networks with relevant stakeholders
Requirements:
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a comparable qualification
- Relevant professional experience in AI, digital transformation, or innovation management
- Knowledge of current AI technologies and applications
- Experience with agile project management, ideally in international or intercultural contexts
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Fluent English required; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage; knowledge of German is an asset but not mandatory
