BemBem is an artist, translator, and writer. Her current exploration is life and lands in the ruins of capitalism and militarism. She works with a number of media and performance disciplines, hoping to find completely unexpected encounters that can shift and deepen her practice.

As an artist-in-residence at Zentralwerk, Dresden, she will begin working on her new multimedia project titled Yang-Huk-Un: Confabulations. It uses the Meetei Mayek alphabet-to-body writing system to investigate the body languages and movements lost in cultural and political assimilation.
