The library offers

• Fiction and non-fiction in German and English
• German newspapers and magazines
• Music CDs and audio books
• Feature and documentary films on DVD, mainly with English subtitles
• Board games for language learners and native speakers

Leicht zu lesen - A selection of German literature for language students from B2 onwards

To be a member, you need to fill in a registration card and present a photo identification (e.g. passport, driving license, election card, UID/Aadhaar card).

The charges for a library membership are:

• Annual membership: INR 1200
• 6 monthly membership: INR 700

The library membership is free of charge for language students of Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi for the duration of their course and individuals pursuing a German Language degree at the university level for one year (subject to renewal).

German teachers at schools and universities can submit a letter from their school authorities stating that they are teaching German at the time of inscription and renewal for a free library membership.

You can register online on our website. Please fill in this form beforehand, to enter the most important data for your registration and to confirm your mail address in advance. Plan your visit to the library within the following 4 weeks to complete the enrollment process. For any queries, write to us at: Circulation-Delhi@goethe.de.
