Der Libanon und die Welt befinden sich in einer Krise, die Künstler in dramatischer Weise daran hindert, ihre Arbeit weiterzuentwickeln und ihren Lebensunterhalt zu sichern.

In solchen Zeiten ist es dringend notwendig, über bestehende Angebote für Künstler informiert zu sein. Deshalb möchten wir Sie auf eine Auswahl von Residenzprogrammen, Finanzierungsmöglichkeiten, Mentoring-Angeboten, Koproduktionsaufrufen und anderen Chancen aus unseren Netzwerken aufmerksam machen, die für Künstler im Libanon von Interesse sein könnten.

RESIDENCY - FABRIQUE

The Fondation Fiminco is launching an open call for visual artists of all disciplines for an 11-month research, creation and production residency based in Romainville (Seine-Saint-Denis) within greater Paris. The residency program is open to artists living in France and abroad, with no age limit, who can demonstrate a career in the making or already established. The Fondation Fiminco accepts applications from duos and collectives, however, the conditions of accommodation and work are the same as for individual artists.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION GRANTS

The British Council’s International Collaboration Grants encourage new bilateral and multilateral partnerships, providing funding to enable organisations to make and develop creative artwork with their international peers, and help individual artists find innovative ways of collaborating. Available grants range between £25,000 and £75,000 and are still open for application.

AFAC MUSIC GRANT

AFAC’s Music Grant supports music production, performances, collaborations, album recordings, music-related podcasts, and festivals.The Music grant program provides annual grants of up to USD 25,000 for individuals and teams, and up to USD 35,000 for collectives and institutions.
AFAC welcomes proposals from individuals from Arab countries (22 member states of the Arab League), regardless of their place of residence, citizenship, or ethnic and national identification and accepts proposals from local, regional, and international institutions and organizations whose projects are related to arts and culture from the Arab region. These include artistic and cultural institutions, galleries, venues, and both nonprofit and for-profit entities.

AFAC CINEMA PROGRAM

AFAC's Cinema Program supports feature and short-length fiction films in the Arab region. For feature-length films, the program welcomes submissions by Arab directors whose projects are in development, production, or post-production phases. For short films, the program supports projects in production and post-production, provided the director has not previously made a feature film. The Cinema grant program is open to applications from Arab directors and producers living in the Arab region or the diaspora. A non-Arab producer can apply for a grant provided that the film director is Arab. It is highly recommended that film projects applying to the production and post-production grants have producers attached to them. Project applications are accepted irrespective of age, years of experience, country of residence, ethnicity, gender, or religion. A film producer is eligible to apply with a maximum of two projects per category per cycle, provided the two projects are not attached to the same director.

AFAC’s Training and Regional Events grant supports training and workshops in the different cultural and artistic fields, archive and documentation platforms, in addition to residencies, symposiums, forums, and festivals (multidisciplinary, music, film, performing arts, visual arts, and literature).

ARTISTS‘ CONTACT

With the Artists' Contacts programme, the ifa supports the international cooperation of cultural actors. Artists and cultural practitioners from Germany and from transformation or developing countries receive valuable support for projects in contemporary visual arts, architecture, photography, media art and design. Applicants thereby receive the chance to network internationally and to advance the intercultural discourse between Germany and the global South.

INTERNATIONAL COPRODUCTION FUND (IKF)

The International Coproduction Fund (IKF) supports coproductions worldwide that grow out of collaborative and dialogue-based working processes in the fields of music, dance, theatre and performance art. We fund professional performing artists, ensembles and initiatives in Germany and non-German-speaking countries. Deadline for submitting:

THE VISUAL ARTS PROJECT FUND

The Goethe-Institut’s Visual Arts Project Fund supports the establishment of international networks between cultural professionals from Germany and across the globe. It funds projects that foster artistic and curatorial cooperation across national and continental borders. As such, the program provides opportunities to develop cross-border modes of discourse and research in complex and supra-regional projects and to experiment with collaborative formats, processes and structures.
Deadline for submitting:
for projects that start in 2025 is October 15, 2024 at 15:00 (CET). Applications will be accepted from September 1, 2024

SHADOWING PROGRAMME FOR YOUNG THEATRE PROFESSIONALS

In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Internationalen Theaterinstitut (ITI) bietet das Goethe-Institut ein Hospitationsprogramm für Theaterleute aus dem Ausland an, die bereits über umfangreiche Theatererfahrung im Ausland verfügen. Nach der Teilnahme am Programm in Deutschland wird von Ihnen erwartet, dass Sie als "Multiplikator" fungieren, d.h. den Nutzen Ihrer Erfahrungen in Deutschland mit Ihrer Theaterszene in der Heimat teilen. Wir ermöglichen es ausgewählten Theaterleuten aus anderen Teilen der Welt, aus erster Hand zu erfahren, wie mindestens eine Produktion an einem Theater in Deutschland geplant, geprobt und aufgeführt wird. Sie können auch Aufführungen an anderen Theatern besuchen.

PROMOTION OF MUSIC RESIDENCIES IN GERMANY

Dieses Stipendium soll es ausübenden Künstlern im Bereich der Musik aus Entwicklungs- und Transformationsländern ermöglichen, neue internationale Programme und Produktionen mit Partnern in Deutschland vorzubereiten. Ziel des Programms ist es, die internationale künstlerische Zusammenarbeit und den intensiven kulturellen Austausch auf partnerschaftlicher Basis zu fördern.

Artists' houses support professional artists of all disciplines by providing them with studio space and accommodation for limited periods of time, often combined with the award of a stipend or grant. They are international meeting places and centres of cultural and creative exchange. On the following pages, the various artists' houses in Germany are listed with an outline of their programmes and selection procedures.

Schloss Solitude Fellowship

Die Akademie Schloss Solitude ist eine internationale und transdisziplinäre Künstlerresidenz. Sie fördert junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler, Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler sowie Kultur- und Wirtschaftsschaffende ausschließlich durch Wohnstipendien. Haben Sie Interesse, sich für ein Aufenthaltsstipendium zu bewerben? Die Bewerber sollten nicht älter als 40 Jahre sein oder innerhalb der letzten fünf Jahre einen Hochschulabschluss erworben haben. Alle Informationen zu den Bedingungen, Leistungen und dem Auswahlverfahren finden Sie auf dieser Seite. Die Stipendien werden in der Regel für einen Zeitraum von sechs, neun oder zwölf Monaten vergeben.

WIJHAT TRAVEL GRANT

Arab artists and cultural actors face major challenges when it comes to traveling within the Arab region or abroad for professional purposes. Foremost among them are insufficient funding to cover travel expenses, difficulties in obtaining visas and lack of opportunities to network with organizations that could potentially become partners in the creative processes in this region. Wijhat (Destinations) was developed by Al-Mawred Al-Thaqafy to address these concerns. The program provides grants of up to €7,000 to artists and cultural actors from the Arab region to support their travels within the Arab region or to any destination abroad.

GOETHE-INSTITUT TRAVEL GRANT

TRAVEL GRANTS FOR ARTISTS FROM ABROAD TO PERFORM IN GERMANY
This funding is for music projects of ensembles from developing and transition countries as per the DAC list that cannot afford the cost of international travel owing to their economic situation. It is for professional ensembles and artists as well as for amateur and youth ensembles. As a rule, it takes the form of a travel grant.
Deadline for submitting:
at least six weeks before the planned start of the project

Ziel des Programms ist es, internationale Fachkräfte für den deutschen Arbeitsmarkt zu gewinnen sowie die fachlichen und persönlichen Kompetenzen der Programmteilnehmer zu stärken. Es werden Teil- und Vollstipendien vergeben.
