The exhibition "Ein Ball – viele Geschichten: Fußballnation Deutschland“ is released in cooperation with the German Football Museum in Dortmund on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

As an international accompanying project to the World Cup, it invites audiences to rediscover the history, present, and social significance of football in Germany within a global context.

The exhibition offers visitors diverse perspectives on German football culture—from historic achievements and influential personalities to current developments in men’s and women’s football. Sixteen thematic posters present a multifaceted portrait of Germany as a football nation, highlight international connections, and encourage reflection on the unifying power of the sport.

  • The German national teams – achievements, developments, and key figures in men’s and women’s soccer
  • Legendary matches and iconic moments in German soccer history
  • Women’s soccer in Germany – from the long road to recognition to international success
  • Club soccer and the Bundesliga as central pillars of German soccer culture
  • International perspectives on German soccer – from the global reach of the Bundesliga to German players assought-after exports
  • Fan culture and social engagement – from passionate support to initiatives promoting tolerance, diversity, and inclusion, and opposing violence and discrimination

The posters and accompanying educational materials are available for download and can be used in classrooms, at cultural events, and in educational institutions worldwide.
