Science Film Festival


The Science Film Festival reached over 751 409 visitors in Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Indonesia, Jordan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Oman, Palestine, the Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Sudan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam in 2015. It is the most extensive event of its kind and one of the biggest film festivals worldwide in terms of audience reach.

The award winners in the six categories of the festival are announced here. We congratulate the recipients and thank all filmmakers and producers for their entries and participation.

Application form film

In 2016, the Science Film Festival takes place internationally in 16 countries from October 01 to December 18 and invites visitors to enjoy the best in international science communication and to explore this year’s theme of MATERIAL SCIENCE – understanding how materials are put together, how they can be used, how they can be changed and made better to do more amazing things!

We look forward to receiving film, television and interactive media submissions on this and any other subjects related to science and technology through our online application form until March 18, 2016.
