Carolina Lio is an Italian curator based in London.

She received an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London (2017) and has curated exhibitions internationally, including: Suspense, Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa, Venice (2010); Italian Container, Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art, Yerevan (2010); Vulpes Pilum Mutare, Musei Civici, Bassano del Grappa (2011); State of Matter, Hong Kong Arts Centre (2013); Her/Story: Women Behind The Camera, Oslo Fotokunstskole (2014); POST.COM, Espacio de Arte Contemporaneo, Montevideo (2016); Doing It In Public, Beaconsfield Gallery, London (2017). Carolina has also worked with galleries and organisations as, among others, Sprovieri, London; Arcade, London; Open Space Contemporary, London and Istanbul; Eastation Gallery, Beijing and Hong Kong. She was awarded a research fellowship at MACBA Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (2014-15) and in 2017 participated in the NEON Curatorial Exchange and Award by the Whitechapel Gallery, London, and NEON Foundation, Athens.

She has curated, wrote about and facilitated the exhibitions of many internationally reknown artists, such as Caroline Achaintre, Can Altay, Sonia Balassanian, Marcus Coates, Jimmie Durham, Jannis Kounellis, Nan Goldin, Boris Mikhailov, Shozo Shimamoto and Pilvi Takkala, among others.
