The Dresden University Sports Centre (DHSZ) is the central institution for university, institute, and health sports in Dresden. It offers students and staff from all Dresden universities and partner institutes a wide range of sports and events. With over 2,500 activities in more than 60 sports each year, the DHSZ provides modern, vibrant opportunities for exchange, fitness, team spirit, and relaxation.

The Institut français Dresden offers language courses and certificates, a media library, as well as cultural events. It promotes Franco-German relations and the French language and culture on cultural, linguistic, academic, and economic levels. With its diverse cultural programme, the Institut français Dresden is considered a meeting place for Francophiles of all ages, with or without knowledge of French. In both the language and cultural sectors, the Institut français often and gladly cooperates with the Goethe-Institut Dresden.

The Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden is a world-class museum institution comprising 12 museums covering an unrivalled range of subject areas. Up to the present day the collections have remained true to their commitment to preserve traditions, develop visions and help to shape the future. Course participants at the Goethe-Institut Dresden are entitled to free admission to all of the museums of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.

TU Dresden

TU Dresden has approximately 35,000 students (10% of them from abroad). It is a full-fledged university with numerous faculties, and is one of Germany's leading research universities. Key areas are such technological fields as information science, mechanical engineering and material science, but conditions are also excellent for such subjects as architecture, law and medicine. At the Goethe-Institut Dresden we will be happy to advise you on studying in Germany and can arrange contacts with the TU Dresden.
