The Goethe-Institut London invites all primary schools in the UK to participate in a special competition.
The winter season is approaching, days are getting shorter, temperatures are dropping and perhaps the first snow starts to fall. It’s an exciting time for kids. We therefore ask your pupils to create their own comic storyboard with speech bubbles in German about the special winter season. Have fun and be creative!
The story should at least include the following:
Characters: Felix and Franzi and/or Karla and Kai (and other characters if wanted)
Length: 1-2 A4 pages
Language: German (Use some German words from the list)
Material/Technique: Everything is allowed from drawing, painting, cut outs, etc. – be as creative as possible!
Pupils can either hand in their work as an individual or prepare a comic storyboard in a group of up to 4 pupils. Language support can be found here:
All students taking part will receive a prize for their participation. The three best entries will also win a surprise.
Please send the comic storyboards to:
50 Princes Gate
You are welcome to collect your pupils’ entries and send them to us in one batch. Please check carefully that all participants include their details (name, school, year, mentor teacher).
Deadline for entries: 20 December 2019.
The winners will be announced at the end of January 2020.
