Filmrolle

This event is intended for teachers and students only.

Conducted mainly in German, this interactive event has been designed with the ‘Media’ aspect of the German specifications in mind in order to assist students with their understanding of film to aid their preparation for the written exam paper. The morning clip-based presentation will focus on a few short films and clips from suitable feature films such as Berlin 36 and Der Tunnel while film terminology will be explained and demonstrated through textual analysis. This can then be utilised in their examination writing. Current or historical social issues raised by the films will also be discussed. There will be an introduced afternoon screening of a suitable sub-titled feature film, followed by a Q&A. A resource pack will be available on the day.
