From Exchange to Collaboration: A Successful Mobility Experience at BHRT and HRT

During my one-week stay at BHRT, I had the opportunity to become familiar with the work and organization of this media house through engagement in both radio and television. On the radio, I followed the news and hosted programmes, while on television I was involved in the production of the news programme.

During my stay, I gained insight into the working conditions, the way the editorial teams operate, and I attended their editorial meeting, which gave me a better understanding of the decision-making process. I also had the opportunity to actively participate in the work – I covered the event “Ceremonial Academy marking the 35th anniversary of the Association of Citizens Originating from Sandžak” for radio, where I recorded two interviews. Additionally, for television, I conducted two interviews – one with the President of the Association of Pljevlja Citizens in Sarajevo and another with a well-known journalist originally from Montenegro. During the visit, the already well-established long-term cooperation between BHRT and RTCG was further strengthened, enabling the material I produced to be shared and broadcast on RTCG.

This experience allowed me to gain insight into working in conditions that are significantly more modest compared to my home institution, RTCG, while still producing high-quality content that meets high professional standards thanks to a skilled and dedicated team.

Within HRT (Radio and Television of Croatia), I visited numerous editorial offices, with a particular focus on programmes dedicated to minorities and the diaspora. With the technical and production support of colleagues, two interviews and one conversation were produced. I also had the opportunity to appear on the HRT programme Prizma, where I spoke about the project, its objectives, as well as my professional experience and previous work. I also visited colleagues in the Radio Newsroom. These appearances contributed to greater visibility of the project and the exchange of experiences within the public service. The mobility activity had a very positive impact on my personal and professional development. It provided me with valuable opportunities to meet experienced professionals, exchange knowledge and practices, and gain insight into different approaches within public service media.

Through visits to various editorial offices and participation in programmes, I was able to broaden my understanding of production processes, both in television and radio environments. The experience of producing interviews and conversations with the technical and production support of colleagues further strengthened my practical skills and confidence in working in the media. In addition, appearances on programmes, during which I presented the project and shared my professional experience, contributed to improving my communication skills and visibility within the professional community. Overall, the mobility activity enabled me to develop new ideas for my work and establish contacts for potential future cooperation. All planned project activities were implemented, accompanied by an exceptionally positive experience and a high level of professional cooperation in both public service media. I am extremely satisfied with the overall implementation and the results achieved.
