Education as the Foundation of a Modern Public Service Media Organization

A key component of the programme was the study visit to Ljubljana and RTV Slovenija. Direct exposure to the work of the RTV SLO Academy, its structured training programmes, production centres in Lendava and Koper, and integrated production workflows provided a clear and practical framework for understanding the organisational and operational requirements necessary for establishing a similar Educational Centre within Radio Television of Vojvodina. These insights will play an important role in shaping future capacity-building strategies.

Participation in Prix Italia in Naples added a broader European and creative dimension to the experience. Alongside exposure to contemporary television formats and innovative production approaches, the event offered a unique opportunity for networking with representatives of leading European public service broadcasters. These exchanges hold significant potential for future institutional cooperation and joint initiatives. A visit to RAI and engagement with its production environment stood out as a particularly valuable professional highlight, offering insight into the operational excellence and innovation practices of a major European public service broadcaster. The final phase of the programme, conducted in Berlin and Bonn under the auspices of DW Akademie, provided a highly structured and analytically environment. The activities included expert consultations, thematic workshops, and strategic discussions on emerging trends in media systems, with particular focus on the integration of artificial intelligence into editorial and production processes. Equally important were discussions on the legal, ethical, and regulatory dimensions of AI, as well as exposure to academic programmes developed in cooperation with the University of Bonn, which further strengthened the link between media practice and higher education. Beyond its formal objectives, the mobility grant has resulted in a strengthened professional network across European public service media institutions and has opened new pathways for sustainable cooperation and knowledge exchange. At the same time, it has provided a valuable framework for strategic reflection on the long-term development of RTV Vojvodina, particularly in the field of structured education and continuous professional training. Although formally concluded, the programme should be understood not as an endpoint, but as the beginning of a new developmental phase. The knowledge acquired, institutional insights gained, and partnerships established will serve as essential pillars in the future creation of the Educational Centre of Radio Television of Vojvodina.
