Applications are invited from artists, writers, curators, filmmakers, performers, musicians, animators of public processes - any person who is interested in furthering creative forms. Applications can be sent by an individual or a collective or a temporary formation.
The second call for proposals will be open from Saturday, 31 August 2019. The submission deadline for applications is Tuesday, 15 October 2019.

Your project can be anything - from conversations to clubs; from intallations to interventions; from live interactions to online engagements. You can curate a listening environment, instigate a happening or invite people to a meal, to a party or to a symposium for the discussion of ideas. You can propose things that no one has any idea of apart from you.
No, there is no application fee.

Yes, you can. Applications will be accepted from people living and/or working anywhere in India. Those living outside New Delhi and Kolkata may also apply.
All proposals will be assessed by a jury. Projects that were selected in the first round are NOT eligible for the second call.
Announcement of selected proposals will be made via email to respective applicants.
All submitted proposals must include a detailed budget. The budget for proposals that are selected will be evaluated in relation to the project and funds will accordingly be granted.
Proposals selected from the 2nd open call will take place between 1st January-13th April 2020.
Time frames for when projects have to take place are flexible. You could propose something that has the duration of a day or a week or two days or a fortnight. You could also suggest a process that requires two days each month for a given period during Five Million Incidents.
The venues are the Goethe-Instituts / Max Mueller Bhavans in New Delhi and Kolkata.
Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event carried out and/or sponsored by the institute, without the express written permission of those included in the photograph/video. Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by the institute including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, social media, television, websites, etc.
