Shanti Pillai, scholar-artist-writer (BA Anthropology and International Relations, Stanford University; MA Asian Studies, UC Berkeley; PhD Performance Studies, NYU) will be in conversation with Maya Krishna Rao, theatre artist, stand-up comedian and social activist who draws from her training in Kathakali, political science and theatre arts to propose art that is radical and thought-provoking.
