Five Million Incidents | Workshop
Critiquing Memories, Critiquing You
By Saba Tarannum
This project explores the concepts of “tactile-intimacy”, “keepsake”, “perception”, and “memory keeping”.
Saba wants to understand how people express or react when they know they will be judged. This won’t happen in a direct manner, rather it will be through a third medium, an abstract of themselves, where participants can add anything they want either in a removed or in an intimate, involved way. The aim of the workshop is to better understand this process.
This workshop invites participants to make or fill a journal, however they want, knowing whatever they leave behind will be touched, felt, and judged by the viewers.
Identities, whatever the perception maybe, are critiqued aggressively by onlookers - this workshop is an invitation to leave a journal, a small autobiography, behind.
