All about me (Der Junge muss an die frische Luft) by Caroline Link is the second film to be screened this month as part of our popular series German Cinema @ Suchitra.
Hans-Peter is a pudgy nine year-old growing up in the security of his family and fun-loving relatives. At first sight he might not be the most popular guy, but he has a talent for making others laugh. He uses his comedic talents to heal his own wounds while also making people laugh along with him.
The film is based on the life story of Germany’s most beloved comedians and television personalities, Hape Kerkeling and is directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Caroline Link (Nowhere in Africa).
