Attakkalari Culture Port presents Purpose by Sonia Soney

Along with Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts we are happy to invite you to an evening of dance under the banner of Attakkalari Culture Port this weekend:
Purpose choreographed by Sonia Soney.

Inspired by Maya Angelou's, "I Rise", this piece was originally conceptualised during Sonia Soney's contemporary dance study at Attakkalari. Exploring ideas of liberation & freedom from misogyny and patriarchal oppression, the evening is designed to be one of hope, inviting change and inviting healing.

Sonia Soney is slated to be one of the first-ever bangaloREsidents-Expanded@Weltkunstzimmer in Düsseldorf in August 2021.
