Taran N. Khan is an award-winning journalist and writer. Her work has appeared in publications including Granta, Guernica, LitHub, Al Jazeera, The Caravan and Himal Southasian. She has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Jan Michalski Foundation and Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia. Her first book, Shadow City: A Woman Walks Kabul won the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year Award and the Tata Literature Live! First Book Award.
